Civil Liberties Defence Centre Limited (CLDC) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting freedom of expression and democratic rights in Australia.

CLDC is currently in the process of seeking registration as a community legal service.

Objective

Our main objectives are to:

  1. provide advice and assistance to people facing legal issues due to their support for international law and human rights in the Middle East;

  2. advocate for the protection of civil liberties in Australia; and

  3. educate the Australian public about laws affecting their democratic rights.

The CLDC acknowledges that it operates on stolen Aboriginal land and recognises the profound harm caused by settler colonialism on this continent. In our work to defend civil liberties, we affirm that freedom is collective: none of us are truly free until all of us are free.
